Gardiner Grain is one of the largest grain merchants in the South East of Ireland. In order to produce top quality, cost effective feed for our customers at Gardiner Grain, we place a huge emphasis on the quality and consistency of grain. Avoca Milling is proving to be one of our most popular brands of feed provided by Gardiner Grain because of the finest locally sourced grain which is supplied to our own mill located in Avoca, Co. Wicklow.
Maintaining the highest possible standards across all areas is key to our business. Our agronomist, Kevin Gardiner, works closely with tillage farmers to ensure that the wheat, barley and oats that are used in our range of Gardiner Grain feeds is produced to the highest standard. We are members of the Irish Grain Assurance Scheme (IGAS) and require all our grain suppliers to partake in this scheme. Membership involves maintaining defined standards of grain growing, grain handling and grain storage. For our grain suppliers, membership involves adhering to these standards & keeping appropriate records of all inputs used, application timings and rates, transport & storage hygiene practices etc.
